“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”
2 Timothy 2:2
Chi Alpha is a discipleship making movement. Our goal is not to only tell people about Jesus, but that their lives would be so transformed that they would also go and tell others about Him. We want to make disciples that make disciples, following the model that Jesus gave. We believe that the college campus is the most strategic mission field as these students will be the next leaders of our nation and of our world.

STUDENT TESTIMONIES!
“I came into college with grips on everything that felt important to me (school, my identity, future endeavors, my time, etc). I thought I knew best and boy was I wrong! This belief lead to stress and exhaustion. BUT I have found freedom through the guidance of this community. I have learned to lay down the things I once controlled before the feet of Jesus. I’m not perfect, I stumble every now and then, but I have brothers and sisters that direct me back to Jesus. Gosh it’s a fun life and I wouldn’t have it any other way!”
— Liesl Krone (class of 2021)
“Coming into college I had no dreams, goals, or trust and love for those around me. I did not deem people as trustworthy. But God crossed my path people that devoted their hearts to God and it encouraged me, in what I could be and grow around me. Since then God has grown my passion for others, seeing how they also bear God’s Image/character, He has filled my life with loving relationships, brought me together with my wife, and placed the calling in our hearts for serving and doing for others what was done for me.”
— Joshua Leggett (class of 2021)
“When I first came to Hendrix I felt the desire to get connected with a small group. I met Chi Alpha during my first week of school and immediately saw the godly qualities in each of its leaders that I wanted in my life as well. Chi Alpha not only kept me connected during my college years but drastically changed me to be more Christ like. The community is loving, serving, honoring, and very close to one another on a daily basis. I really enjoyed going overseas with Project 222 my freshman summer and I can easily say it was the most impactful trip of my life. I’m also happy to know the friends I made is this ministry won’t fizzle out after graduation but stay connected for my whole life. I can’t affirm this ministry enough and I’m confident they saved my faith during my time at Hendrix.”
— Heston Coon (class of 2021)
“So, I grew up in a family full of pastors and I was pretty cynical about the Church by the time I got to college. I had been emotionally hurt by some members of my church and I was convinced this represented the entire population of believers. I ended up going to my first Chi Alpha service during my freshman year because my grandparents had told me it would be good for me (but I was not yet convinced). However, once I got involved with Hendrix Chi Alpha I knew it was the best decision I made in college. The people in Chi Alpha helped me realize that being a disciple of Christ is a lifelong commitment to carry the burdens of other believers and walk with them as they navigate their life and relationship with God. My fellow students and Chi Alpha leaders showed me what it meant to pour God’s love out onto the people in your life. They also helped me heal the broken relationship with the Church that I had entered college with. Even though I am graduated and no longer involved with Chi Alpha, I continually try to show those around me how much God loves them and what discipleship really means.”
— Chelbi (class of 2020)
